Once a dream...now half a reality.
Producing an event of this scale has always been a big challenge and a different one every year. The work involved is much complicated than putting together thousands of puzzle pieces. Not only do we need to put the correct piece into its position but it has to be at the correct time as well.
Logistics madness, swelling of both sides of the brain, unwanted insomnia, & addiction to Redbull is part of the game.
No man can do this alone without the backing of a team powered by non-stop adrenaline rush & weather resistant work attitude. My love & respect for the organizing team, partners & crew.
We made it happen together.
Off course this event wouldn't be possible without our Sponsors, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah.
Stompin' Sabah is progressively taking shape just like how we imagined.
We at Contagious Concepts, experimented with various ideas, surveyed public likings & analyzed different music genre and directions for a couple of years. Our desire to support and provide an avenue for Borneo talents and fuse them with international acts has also now created a big fanbase among music lovers & aspiring musicians.
Moving into the 3rd year, Stompin' vacates its old home and moves to the beach.
Now onwards Stompin' will be a beach party !! Yes...something you'll look forward to every year.
In time to come with continuous great support from everyone, we'll surely achieve the status of Biggest Beach Festival in Asia.
Then...Stompin' Sabah will be a complete reality.

I came on Sabah for the first timein 2006.
The lush green surroundings, the ocean, the sunset and the breeze inspired me. But i soon realised there was something missing.....the music
My perception soon changed after i explored the suburbs of Sabah.
It even blew my mind when i witnessed this incident while chilling at one of the cultural hall. After a cultural peformance, a naive pale looking musician was just packing up after a show but for some strange reason he decided to play again... just to warm down i guess. To my suprise he suddenly played the tune of 'lose my breath' by beyonce with his 'Kulintangan' a traditional instrument made of small gongs! All the cultural dancers rushed out from backstage and danced like 'beyonce'.
That was a difficult thing to do while still being in their traditional costumes. This was fusion music.
Right at that moment....'Stompin Sabah' became a dream...and after 3 years it was staged!
Stompin Sabah is envisioned to be marked in the world map for musicians and music lovers from all over the world to meet and exchange knowledge. Stompin is also an avenue for Sabahan talents to present their amazing touch of unique music where traditional tunes meets moden beats
So Lets Stomp...aramaitee
